CDRatlas – Carbon Removal Atlas
The Carbon Removal Atlas is an interactive tool that visually depicts various methods for removing CO₂ from the atmosphere. It helps decision-makers from politics, business and science to compare the potential of nature-based and technical solutions and to identify locally appropriate measures. The BMBF-funded project is based on current research results, including from the CDRterra and CDRmare programs. GEOMAR scientists want to use the atlas to close research gaps and create a strategic basis for CO₂ storage. The platform is being developed as an open access tool and connects users with relevant data sources.
Our tasks
As part of the validation project, TransMarTech SH GmbH was commissioned to carry out a market analysis. The aim of this market analysis is to take a closer look at the various market segments and the economic processes and players involved. The market research was used to collect and evaluate information about competing or similar products and their suppliers as well as potential customers.
In the next step, a benefit analysis is carried out to determine the value proposition of the CDR Atlas as a product or service offering.
